Violin

In case you are wondering I play the violin (or the fiddle). The violin (in case you didn't know) is an instrument with four strings which you press down at different lengths (or not at all) whilst swiping your bow over the strings to make a sound. I am currently studying for Grade 3 violin after doing my Grade 1, by the way I skipped Grade 2. In grade 1 I got pass with a merit and high marks :). I am in the junior and senior bands at my comprehensive school which I enjoy very much. In Junior and senior we are playing very good songs and I am very excited as in one of the songs in senior band I have a solo :O. I'm so excited and nervous because I've not quite got the hang of it yet.

Wildlife Photography

My dream job when I am older is to be a Wildlife Photographer, I find photography highly interesting and wildlife stunning. I would love to work for either the BBC, The National Geographic or free-lance. This Christmas I got a Pentax J-r camera with a telephoto lens and a normal lens, I can't wait to become a wildlife photographer and explore the world. Sadly this is a short post as I don't have much time but there will be a longer one tomorrow.

Book review: The Search For Wondla

Recently I read a book called The Search For Wondla by Tony Diterlizi, I thoroughly enjoyed this book about a girl called Eva Nine who lives in an underground appartment with her robot mother Muthr, her underground base is put under threat and Eva Nine has to go up to the real world were she is to discover that there are no people, now on a strange alien planet, Eva Nine must find people, her only clue a piece of ceramic with the word Wondla on it. I thought that this book was very good and would recommend it to fantasy, mystery book lovers. I have decided that this book is in my top ten book list because of it's superb storyline mixed with Diterlizi's fantastic story telling abilities. The book is to be followed by a sequel called A hero for Wondla in Summer 2012 and eventually will become a trilagy. I think the trilogy has potential to become up there with Harry Potter and the Twilight series.

Animation

In my spare time I like to do animation, animation is where in my case (stop frame animation) you set up your scene and your characters and take a picture, then you move your scene or character and take another picture, you keep doing this until you have several hundred pictures then play the pictures back and watch your characters move all across the screen. I have made several animations with a program called i can animate most of them are on youtube and are called Charlie's animation 1: A man dog and a baby, Charlie's animation 2: Am I a man or a mouse and Charlie's animation 3: Mystery box part 1. I love to make animations it is one of my many hobbies and since christmas when i got a light box two professional lights and backdrops and a camera stand it has really improved my animating abilities.

Harry Potter

The first thing you need to know about me is that I absolutely love Harry Potter, the Harry Potter books are the best things iv'e ever read and the films are some of the best iv'e ever watched. In case you didn't know the Harry Potter collection goes in the order followed: Philosophers stone, Chamber of secrets, Prisoner of Azkaban, Goblet of Fire, Order of the phoenix, Half blood prince and Deathly Hallows (split into two parts for the films). J.K Rowling (in my opinion) is a legend as a writer and the new website pottermore that J.K Rowling described as a free gift to the watchers and readers is amazing, I have been let into the website early as I answered a question posted on pottermore correctly. When the website is fully open you should definitely sign up for it, (if you are a Harry Potter fan that is). I have read all of the Harry Potter books and watched all of the Harry Potter films, I think that Harry Potter is amazing and would recommend it to everyone. (even muggles :P).
